Fundraisers

St. Vincent holds several fundraisers a year:

GREENBACKS:Our largest fundraiser, held in March is to support the educational programs at our school. Proceeds help purchase computer hardware, software, textbooks, classroom supplies and equipment, etc. In the past, the Greenback funds purchased all the new desks and chairs for the classrooms and other school and classroom upgrades.

Each school family is asked to buy or sell 10 Greenback Raffle tickets and each parishioner is asked to buy or sell 2 tickets. By selling this many tickets, we are able to award $25,000 in cash prizes and make $25,000 in profit for the school. Parents are also asked to support the Greenback Dinner and Silent Auction by attending, working or both. This is a great way to get to know other SVS families and help our school. Help is always needed in the following areas: Ticket distribution, Corporate Ticket Sales, Silent Auction, Dinner Set Up-Clean-Up, Publicity, and Decorating.

Night at the Races: St. Vincent de Paul School holds Night at the Races in fall at the school. It is a great way to start off the school year and the proceeds again help with the general maintenance of running our school.

PTP Fundraisers: The Parent Teacher Partnership sponsors several fundraisers each year including a Walk, Poinsettia Sale and Spring Flower Sale. All proceeds from the PTP fundraisers go to instructional and extra curricular cost of the school. For example the PTP may buy a new television for a class room or new uniforms for a team. The PTP’s contribution to our school is vital.

8th Grade Fundraiser: One of the joys of being an 8th grader is finally getting to go on a class trip! All year long the 8th graders will hold small fundraises for their 8th grade graduation trip.

6th Grade Fundraisers: The 6th grade sells St. Vincent t-shirts, sweatshirts and SVS crew socks to fundraise for their REAP science program in May. This is a great way to pick up some blue and gold gear for games or dress down days as well as support the 6th graders.
